We advised The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) and NORD/LB in providing EUR 64 million in financing to the Green Genius group.
The funds will be allocated to the development of two new 91 MW solar power parks in Izabelinė (Ignalina district) and Lieponys (Trakai district). Additionally, an 18 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) is planned in Izabelinė to enable more efficient integration of renewable energy into the electricity grid.
It is estimated that the two solar parks will jointly generate approximately 100 GWh of renewable electricity annually. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2025, with commercial operations expected to commence in July 2027. Currently, Green Genius’ renewable energy portfolio amounts to approximately 2.7 GW.
