Launched in 2022, the Estonian Music Development Fund is a unique initiative in Europe that supports composers in creating classical music. Through the support partnership, three new compositions were commissioned this year from composers Liina Sumera (for six voices), Rasmus Puur (for symphony orchestra) and Lola‑Mariin Hermaküla (for two pianos). The Estonian Composers’ Union also presented its centenary book. Alongside Sorainen, the project is supported by Eften Capital and the Hansa Group’s Young Musician Fund, and it was created in cooperation with the Cultural Partnership Foundation.

Sorainen is a long-standing supporter of culture, and our core purpose is to grow prosperity in Estonia and across the Baltics. Culture plays a central role in this as one of the key pillars of social welfare. Sorainen last received the Culture Friend title in 2022, in recognition of our firm’s support for the museum scene.
