About me
As a litigation professional with the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Risk Management team, and being well known in the insolvency law sector, I have advised and represented clients’ interests in a wide range of disputes, including those resolved by the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Supreme Court of Lithuania. For me, the key to success is relations with clients and team members being based on mutual trust.
Professional highlights
Creating precedents. I have defended clients’ interests in several cases related to the responsibility of management bodies. These cases were the basis for legal precedents, widely used by courts to date.
Experience in shareholder disputes. One of my main specialisations is shareholder disputes. I have unique experience in representing the interests of both minority and majority shareholders in courts and arbitration proceedings.
Vast bankruptcy case experience. I have represented the state, as main creditor, in the bankruptcy proceedings of two insolvent Lithuanian banks, and bankruptcy administrators in more than eight bankruptcy cases of insolvent credit unions. This has allowed me to acquire exceptional experience, which clients can benefit from in bankruptcy cases and proceedings.
Extensive understanding of the banking sector. During my litigation practice I have represented almost every bank established or operating in Lithuania. This variety of cases has given me an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the banking sector and is highly valued by clients.
Lecturing for bankruptcy administrators. I am a lecturer trusted by the largest associations of bankruptcy administrators in Lithuania, covering themes related to insolvency processes and activities of insolvency administrators.
