We advised Swedbank and Luminor banks on matters related to the concession agreement for the National Stadium, with the banks providing a EUR 100 million syndicated loan to Vilnius Multifunctional Complex, a company owned by Hanner.
The funds will be used for the construction of the National Stadium and the multifunctional complex in Vilnius. Swedbank is lending EUR 65 million for the stadium construction, while Luminor is providing EUR 35 million.
The National Stadium is being developed through a public–private partnership under a concession agreement. Concessions are still a relatively new method for public infrastructure development in Lithuania. The first sporting events at the National Stadium are expected to take place in 2028.
