Sorainen, in cooperation with an English law firm, advised one of the largest wood processing companies in the Baltics on a complex international trade and maritime law matter. The dispute arose when the competent US authorities raised concerns about the possible non-compliance of a cargo carried on a vessel bound to US port with phytosanitary requirements . The resulting decision had significant financial, logistical and legal implications for several parties, including the owners of different cargoes.
