About me

Since the start of my legal career, I have specialised in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). I am fascinated by this area of law, as the situations encountered are always different, and to find the best solution, you need to have flexibility and creativity, and be able to think unconventionally.

Professional highlights

Acquisitions and mergers in various sectors. I work with investors, target companies and sellers at all stages of the transaction: from preparing the letter of intent, carrying out legal due diligence, and drafting and negotiating the transaction documents to closing the transaction, obtaining the merger clearance, and ensuring the companies’ smooth integration. I have advised on dozens of transactions and led the legal due diligence process in a variety of industries, from shipping to retail.

Largest transactions. Together with the Sorainen team, I advised on the acquisition of Palink, when CityGroup Venture Capital International, and later Coopernic Alliance, acquired shares in Palink (acquisition value EUR 300 million). I also led the team advising on the acquisition of Geonafta, when the company was acquired by LOTOS Petrobaltic, and led teams advising on a number of other significant transactions in Lithuania and the Baltic States.

Experience in an international organisation. In 2018 – 2021, I worked for the U.S. Mission to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria. I participated in the OSCE Advisory Committee on Management and Finance, worked on the organisation’s documents governing finance and governance, and participated in the annual negotiations on the OSCE budget, as well as discussions on issues related to the OSCE’s legal personality. As a member of the U.S. Mission, I worked with representatives of 57 OSCE participating States and oversaw the U.S. secondment programme, which covered deploying U.S. secondees to OSCE missions in Europe and Central Asia.
