We are advising Lantmännen, a Swedish agricultural cooperative, on the acquisition of Leipurin and its operations in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Lantmännen is owned by 17,000 Swedish farmers and has 12,000 employees in over 20 countries. While already Northern Europe’s leader in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy and food products, this acquisition will further strengthen Lantmännen’s position in the food ingredients sector.
Leipurin, currently owned by Aspo, is a leading supplier of ingredients to bakeries and the wider food industry. In 2024, it generated annual net sales totalling EUR 133.1 million.
Closing the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
