Sorainen’s Tax team continues to hold Tier 1 rankings for both the “General corporate tax” and “Transfer pricing” categories in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the 2027 edition of International Tax Review (ITR) World Tax. In Lithuania, the team is also ranked Tier 1 for “Tax controversy”. The recognition comes in a year of growth for the team, with new partners, more complex cross-border work and two ITR awards.

In other categories researched this year, ITR lists Sorainen among firms active for “Tax controversy” in Latvia and for “Transactional tax” in Estonia.

In addition to these rankings for our teams, 13 of our tax experts are recognised this year, with four colleagues appearing among Sorainen’s recognised experts for the first time:

A year of growth

In April, four experienced tax professionals joined the Sorainen Lithuania office, including two new partners, Dr Aistė Medelienė and Dr Mindaugas Lukas. Together, they bring decades of experience with tax disputes, transaction structuring and private wealth planning, and both have now been now recognised by ITR. Their arrival has further strengthened what is already the largest tax team among law firms in the Baltics.

“Tier 1 status across the Baltics remains our foundation, and this year we’ve built on it, with a new Tier 1 ranking for ‘Tax controversy’ in Lithuania and more of our people recognised individually. Our clients’ tax questions are increasingly crossing borders and growing in complexity, from transfer pricing to tax disputes. These rankings reflect what matters most to them: one team they can rely on across all three of the Baltic countries,” says Indrė Ščeponienė, partner, and head of the regional Tax practice.

Two ITR awards this year

In September, at the ITR Europe Tax Awards 2026, Sorainen was recognised twice. We received the “Impact Case of the Year” award for our work representing Nordcurrent Group and Sorainen was also named “Baltic States Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year” for the second year in a row.
