We advised Forus Grupp, a real estate maintenance and security services provider, in acquiring Tulika Takso from Tulika Grupp. Tulika Takso is the oldest operating taxi company in Estonia.

Increased safety and synergy

Urmas Sõõrumaa, the owner of Forus Grupp, says that Forus Grupp is planning to add a safety factor to taxi services. “It’s something that people have probably missed the most when it comes to buying services from ride sharing platforms. After all, it’s important to know who is taking your children to school or training and to be sure that all of this is trusted in the hands of noted and licenced professionals,” he commented.

As a result of the deal, 200 vehicles and specialists from Tulika Takso are being added to Forus Grupp’s machine park. “This gives our businesses a notable synergy. Together we have enough skills and strength to develop into a transport service provider in Estonia that’s more useful and better for the client,” Sõõrumaa added.

Mati Saar who has led Tulika Grupp for 25 years and continues as a board member in Tulika Takso was hopeful that Forus Grupp will be a strong new owner who implements their IT skills and keeps developing the taxi company’s digital ordering platform – the Tulika 1200 app.
