We advised the Estonian AI-native data analytics platform Supersimple on securing EUR 2 million in a pre-seed round of funding. The investment round was led by Estonian venture capital funds Tera Ventures and Specialist VC; Tiny VC and various angel investors, including the former CTO of Twilio and the founders of Sixfold and Grünfin.

Essential tool for tackling complex data questions

Supersimple is a Tallinn-based business intelligence tool founded in 2021 that enables everyone to explore data and accurately answer complex questions in minutes. The AI-native data analytics platform combines a semantic data modeling layer and state-of-the-art explainable AI to give users reliable, consistent data to power their day-to-day work. It was designed specifically for teams at B2B SaaS companies to answer their own ad-hoc data questions.

The funding will be used to accelerate customer growth and advance the state of the art in explainable AI. Marko Klopets, co-founder and CEO of Supersimple, says, “We set out to design and build something that’s simple enough for anybody to pick up, yet powerful enough to support the most advanced workflows imaginable.”

SuperSimple enables anyone to answer data queries in minutes, using plain English or its no-code interface. This in turn frees up data teams to focus on more impactful work than answering one-off questions. According to Klopets, making structured data from data warehouses accessible and usable is the first step towards Supersimple becoming the operating system of the fastest growing companies.
