We advised Berry Global, a US-based manufacturer and seller of plastic packaging products, in the sale of its shareholding in Promens Holding OÜ to SAPA S.p.A., an Italian industrial group specialising in the production of cutting-edge components for the automotive industry. As part of the transaction, SAPA also acquired Promens Zevenaar N.V., the Dutch entity of the Promens group.

Promens Zevenaar and Promens Holding are both plastic processing injection moulding companies from respectively the Netherlands and Estonia. The two plants achieved a total turnover of 105 million euros for the year ended September 2023 and employ over 600 people. In Estonia, the Promens group operates one of the largest manufacturing facilities of plastic components in Estonia, having approximately 230 employees and with a specific emphasis on producing interior, exterior and engine components for the automotive industry.

SAPA operates plants in Europe, Africa and Asia, supplies well-known car manufacturers such as Audi, Porsche and Aston Martin and expects its total turnover in 2023 to exceed 300 million euros.
