I am a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Risk Management practice group and also involved in the work of the firm’s Life Sciences & Healthcare as well as Industrials and Trade & Consumer Goods sector groups.
According to Art. 40 (3) of the Bar Association Act, lawyers do not provide legal services. Lawyers are assisting the attorneys.
Constitutional law. I have been involved in the team representing clients in disputes concerning the constitutionality of amendments to legislation.
European Law Moot Court Competition. In 2018, I was chosen for the team representing the University of Tartu in this competition. The topics were European public procurement law, data protection issues and European sanctions. After a successful written phase our team reached the oral presentation round and pleaded in front of panels of experts in European law.
Empowering students. As one of the leaders of the Sorainen Student Academy, I have given a course at the University of Tartu to encourage law students to improve their skills and participate in moot court competitions. In co-operation with the European Law Students Association (ELSA) I also hold lectures to spread legal knowledge among high school students. With the aim of empowering students to profit from extra-curricular activities, I have been a board and audit committee member of ELSA Tallinn and ELSA Estonia.
