About me

I work as an associate with the Dispute Resolution & Risk Management team, advising clients primarily on domestic and international litigation matters. While my professional background covers a variety of legal fields, including criminal and civil law, my main focus has become assisting clients in international arbitration proceedings.

Professional highlights

Arbitration. I am a member of Sorainen’s international arbitration practice group. Arbitration has fascinated me from the very beginning of my legal career, and today, I take every opportunity to work and grow in this field. Thanks to our pan-Baltic team, I have gained experience in commercial and investment arbitration under the ICC, ICSID, SCC, VCCA, ECCI, and UNCITRAL rules. I have also supported arbitral tribunals in my role as tribunal secretary.

European Union law. I have extensive experience with EU law – from conducting academic research and publishing articles to contributing to the preparation of procedural documents submitted to the Court of Justice of the European Union and analysing the compliance of Estonian legislation with EU law. My master’s thesis, The Constitutional Review of Legal Provisions Related to European Union Law, received the Special Award of the Estonian Academy of Sciences’ Endowment for Constitutional Law and a Special Award of the Ministry of Justice at the national student research competition organised by the Estonian Research Council in 2023.

Continuous development. Even after completing my master’s degree, I consider ongoing professional growth essential. I have taken part in international training programmes in both public and private international law, and I regularly attend legal conferences in Estonia and abroad. I also actively contribute to the development of legal scholarship as a co-author of articles, collected volumes and textbooks in the fields of EU law, arbitration, and constitutional law. In addition, I have taught seminars on legal analysis and argumentation at the University of Tartu and have been a guest lecturer on arbitration at both the University of Tartu and Tallinn University of Technology.
