As a senior associate with the firm’s Finance & Insurance practice group in Latvia, I combine regulatory advice and transactional work with participation in the resolution of finance disputes. My core areas of interest are fintech and crypto projects, and I co-manage the Startup sector group in Latvia.
Professional highlights
My work covers a wide spectrum of legal matters, including:
- advising fintech companies and the traditional finance sector, as well as clients of both
- regulatory advice and licensing of financial institutions
- crypto asset projects
- financing transactions
- dispute resolution cases involving finance and insurance matters
- developing the Latvian fintech and crypto sectors through my active involvement in the Latvian Fintech Association and Latvian Blockchain Association.
Academic interests and achievements
As a Fulbright scholar in the USA with a focus on finance law, I became fascinated by crypto ventures, blockchain and smart contracts. I’ve gone on to put this knlowledge and passion into practice.
