We advised Swedish funeral products and services company Fredahl Rydéns on acquiring a 75% shareholding in the Estonian company Barem.
Fredahl Rydéns is part of Idun Industrier, a Swedish-listed group of companies that, jointly with the management of each group company, carries out long-term development of industrial and service companies. Idun Industrier is made up of 18 independent group companies that employ approximately 950 people, with an annual turnover of approximately EUR 200 million.
Barem, together with its subsidiary Puidu Taavet, is one of the leading suppliers to the Finnish and Estonian funeral industries. It manufactures coffins and urns for funerals. Barem generates an annual turnover of approximately EUR 2.7 million and is highly profitable.
Starting a new journey together
“With high quality, a clear service spirit and a family-like corporate culture, Barem fits well into the Fredahl Rydéns family. We are pleased to welcome Barem, with its competent management and employees. Together we will continue to develop the company in the spirit that has characterised Fredahl Rydéns for over 100 years – where responsibility and consideration are the watchwords,” says Morgan Löfgren, CEO of Fredahl Rydéns.
