We provided pro bono legal assistance to the startup SoulVirtue in setting up an online platform. The legal service was provided as part of our Shared Mission Programme.

A platform for mental health professional counselling

SoulVirtue is a startup aiming to create an emotional support platform to enable mental health professionals to provide counselling online. According to SoulVirtue, the aim of the platform is to make psycho-emotional support accessible. Patients still rarely seek help in case of emotional difficulties because professionals are not available throughout Latvia, and in society there is still a stigma attached to psycho-emotional support services. Online counselling could solve these problems.

Our involvement and team

As part of our legal support, we developed user terms and conditions for the platform, addressing legal issues related to telemedicine, eligibility requirements for medical institutions, consumer and patient rights, and health professional liability.

The client was advised by partner Ieva Andersone, senior associate Marika Grunte, associate Anna Bogdanova and assistant lawyer Lūcija Strauta.
