About me

I am a trusted advisor for already matured companies as well as startups looking to make their mark in the world. I mainly focus on M&A, fundraising, venture capital, and corporate matters, but can also support clients in various other fields, such as IP, real estate, and commercial matters. With interest in the fast-evolving technology and startup sector, I am the regional co-head of our startup sector group, helping startups in the Baltics and Belarus succeed in business. Additionally, I head the startup sector group in Estonia.

Professional highlights

Wide knowledge base. With a primary focus on M&A and corporate law, I work daily with clients looking for support in transactions, fundraising, venture capital, and shareholder relations. In addition, I also have extensive experience in matters concerning real estate, IP, and commercial contracts. Thus, I am able to provide clients with an overview of the issues they are facing together with practical solutions.

Negotiations expert. Throughout my career, I have been involved in a large number of international and local transactions, including several top-value transactions in Estonia and the Baltic region. I have represented management boards, shareholders, national and international strategic investors, investment banks and private equity firms, start-up founders as well as investors. I love a good professional challenge and believe that negotiations can solve everything.

Startup enthusiast. I co-head the firm’s regional startups sector group. Having advised startups from taking their first steps to successful exits, I have a good understanding of their needs in various development phases and extensive experience in advising both on fundraising and daily activities. I have also been involved in the preparation of Estonian model documents for investments in startups.

Knowing both sides of the coin. Before joining Sorainen I worked at another law firm where I experienced a small firm growing into an international one. This gave me a first-hand understanding of how organizational growth takes place and possible challenges faced throughout the journey, enabling me to offer practical and thought-through solutions for clients.
