About me
A specialist in EU and Estonian competition law, I am passionate about keeping clients out of harm’s way and stand by the words of Benjamin Franklin: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”. If you are looking for a lawyer who talks people to death, we might not be the best match.
Professional highlights
Expert on dawn raids. Several companies that were dawn-raided by the European Commission in Estonia have received on-site legal support from me, followed by off-site legal advice in proceedings conducted by the European Commission.
Tariff regulation. With experience that includes litigation against the Estonian Competition Authority and the Estonian state ‒ both in the Estonian courts as well as in international arbitration ‒ I have advised clients on a wide range of tariff regulation issues.
Merger control. In addition to filing numerous merger notifications with the Estonian Competition Authority, I have ‒ uniquely among Estonian lawyers ‒ also filed a merger notification with the European Commission.
Dominance issues. As well as helping dominant companies in multiple business sectors to ensure or achieve compliance with competition law requirements, I have also helped business partners and competitors of dominant companies to successfully challenge abusive practices.
